Travel to the U.S.

Medical Services

Unexpected medical situations can arise anytime. Overseas visitors should acquire travel insurance that covers medical situations, as care for uninsured patients can be very expensive. Consult your health care provider. If you do not have medical insurance and you receive emergency care, the bill will be sent to your home country address.

Cell Phone Service

Taking your smartphone or mobile device out of the country can be very useful. However, if you do not order an international voice and data plan from your provider, or if you accidentally go over the limit for the plan, the resulting phone bill could be an unpleasant surprise. There are some general steps you should follow when taking your phone out of the country.
