Science meets spotlight at the SETAC Science Slam, a high-energy event where student or early career researchers take the stage to share their work in the most creative, fun, and accessible way possible.
Do you love explaining your environmental research in ways that anyone can understand? Got a knack for storytelling, humour, or performance? Whether it’s a song, skit, dance, or demo, this is your chance to shine in front of the entire SETAC community, live on stage in Maastricht!
We're looking for 5 bold student or early career presenters who can showcase their research in an entertaining eight-minute 'presentation' and compete for cash prizes between €100 and €500 by wowing the audience.
A Science Slam is where young scientists present their research projects in a ten to eight-minute talk, making it easy to follow and mixing science with performance. It’s not primarily about the scientific outcome, it’s about storytelling, understanding and entertainment, all judged by the audience.
