The SETAC Europe 27th LCA symposium is organised as a fully-fledged physical meeting. Virtual components will not be offered.
The role of session chairs at the symposium is important to the success of the sessions. Please note the following guidelines to ensure smooth operations in general and in your session(s) in particular.
Review the programme of your session to check for withdrawals and subsequent changes. Note that the hard copy programme materials are printed on 8 October. An up-to-date overview of all sessions is available on the meeting platform.
It is NOT possible to stream remote participants or presenters into the session room. Also, sessions will not be recorded.
One of the session chairs should welcome the audience and speakers, and provide a 3-minute introduction summarising the theme and objectives of the session.
Session chairs are strongly encouraged to spotlight the key discussions and lessons learned in SETAC’s home journal, the Globe. This is a magazine-style news outlet and not a scientific journal, the summary should focus on the relevance of the session and important discussions and conclusions. Have a look at the guidelines for submitting session summaries.
Virtual discussions are held on an overarching topic, aiming at summarising the state of the science from the research presented at the regular scientific sessions or prioritising key research questions that need to be addressed. Meeting participants are invited to attend the complementary presentation sessions to make the most out of them. If you have a topic in mind for a virtual discussion session, we’d love to hear from you! Learn more about how to propose an event and view the virtual event planning schedule.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions for future meetings, please provide your feedback to [email protected]
Many thanks for your contributions to making this a successful meeting!
