Submit an Abstract for the SETAC Topical Symposium on Species Surrogacy
SETAC will host the Advanced Approaches for Species Surrogacy in Chemical Risk Assessment Topical Symposium from 1–2 November at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, which is immediately preceding the SETAC North America 47th Annual Meeting.
The two-day, in-person symposium will provide a focused forum for advancing approaches to species surrogacy in chemical risk assessment. The program will feature keynote lectures, interactive sessions and poster presentations and is designed to encourage individual and small-group discussions.
The symposium aims to review the current state of tools, methods and available data, and explore their application to species surrogacy using a weight-of-evidence approach. Discussions will examine how toxicokinetics, toxicodynamics, species traits, and functional diversity and existing toxicity data can be leveraged in cross-species extrapolation.
Abstract submission is now open, with a deadline of 28 July. Researchers are invited to submit their work to contribute to the scientific program and engage with experts in the field.
