Key SETAC Portland Deadlines Are Fast Approaching

The SETAC North America 46th Annual Meeting, which will take place from 16–20 November 2025 in Portland, Oregon, and online, offers a meaningful opportunity to share your work, strengthen your network, and support the future of the field of environmental science. To be part of the scientific program, submit your abstract by 17:00 PDT on 4 June. Submissions are free through this deadline. After that, a $50 rush fee applies for abstracts submitted by 11 June.

If you miss the initial deadlines, late-breaking science abstracts will be accepted from 9 July–20 August for a $50 rush fee. These will be presented as posters only in a dedicated session and not assigned to topical sessions.

Several other important opportunities also close by 17:00 PDT on 4 June: You can propose a professional training course to share your expertise and help build capacity in the field, or apply for a student attendance grant when submitting an abstract. Meeting attendance grants for professionals are due 19 September.

This is your chance to share your research, exchange ideas and connect with leading environmental professionals across academia, government and business. Whether you're focused on ecological risk assessment, environmental chemistry, toxicology or sustainability science, SETAC Portland is an excellent platform to showcase your work and contribute to meaningful discussions that influence global environmental decision-making.

At a time when scientific engagement and collaboration are more important than ever, your participation helps reinforce the critical role of evidence-based science in environmental policy and practice. Make your work part of the conversation and submit an abstract today!

In addition to submitting an abstract or professional training course, there are several other meaningful ways to get involved:
