Session Planning for Chairs

All sessions accepted to be included in the call for abstracts are provisionally accepted to be included in the meeting programme. After the abstract submission deadline, depending on the number of abstracts received in a session, the Programme Committee will decide to accept, merge, or cancel the session. The final session schedule will be announced in the first week of June.

Important notes:

  • The session chairs should work with the co-chairs and are strongly encouraged to solicit abstracts in their network. In communicating with their network, it is very important to mention that the acceptance of a presentation is not guaranteed.
  • If your proposed session is provisionally accepted and included in the call for abstracts, you will be asked to review all the abstracts that are associated with your session in parallel with your appointed co-chair.  
  • The review of abstracts by session chairs and the Programme Committee will start on Friday, 24 May. The deadline to review all abstracts is Thursday, 30 May.
  • If your session is subsequently accepted for inclusion in the meeting programme, you will be responsible for organising the order of presentations
  • Please note that as a session chair, you are collaborating voluntarily; your efforts are strongly appreciated and recognised.
  • All session chairs must register for the meeting by the early bird registration deadline and pay the applicable registration fee.
