Make a Difference and Get Involved in SETAC North America

Getting involved in SETAC North America gives you a chance to contribute to the future of the Society, while growing personally and professionally. We are currently seeking: 

• Nominations for SETAC North America Board of Directors. Term begins in November and lasts for three years.
• Volunteers for the SETAC North America 46th Annual Meeting, which will be held from 16–20 November 2025 in Portland, Oregon. The commitment kicks off in November of this year.
• Volunteers for various SETAC North America committees. Volunteers can get involved immediately.

Call for SETAC North America Board Members Is Now Open  

The SETAC North America Board of Directors maintains oversight over SETAC North America programs, including the annual meeting. Membership in the board is refreshed annually, striving for equal representation from academia, business and government, as well as balance in diverse demographic and cultural backgrounds. At this time, the board is looking for nominees from academia and government.  

The board is also seeking a student volunteer to serve as the SETAC North America Student Advisory Council Vice President as well as ex-officio on the board. 

Qualifications 

✅ Full SETAC member 
✅ Desire, experience and capacity for strategic leadership 
✅ Willingness to serve a three-year term starting in October 2024

Volunteers Needed for the SETAC North America 46th Annual Meeting   

The annual meeting is the biggest event of the year for SETAC North America. Volunteering on the committee gives you the chance to influence the program and support SETAC’s mission of advancing environmental science and management. The SETAC North America 46th Annual Meeting will be held 16–20 November 2025 in Portland, Oregon. Commitment begins in November of this year.

Volunteer for a SETAC North America Committee  

The SETAC North America Board of Directors relies on committees for advice as needed. Membership in committees strives for equal representation from academia, business and government, as well as balance in diverse demographic and cultural backgrounds. The workload and responsibilities vary depending on the committee.
