SETAC Launches Search for Next Global Executive Director
SETAC is entering a new chapter as the search begins for its next Global Executive Director (GED), following the announced retirement of Bart Bosveld at the end of 2026.
The Global Executive Director serves as SETAC’s chief executive officer, providing visionary and strategic leadership across the global organization and working closely with the Board of Directors to advance SETAC’s mission. This includes strengthening collaboration across Geographic Units, supporting scientific excellence and ensuring continued global impact in environmental science and science-based decision-making.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a global professional society at the intersection of environmental science, policy and sustainability, and to help shape SETAC’s future direction.
