SETAC Geneva: Grants, Training Courses and More Ways to Get Involved

Preparations for the SETAC Europe 37th Annual Meeting are flowing almost as strongly as the Jet d’Eau on Lake Geneva, and there’s plenty to get moving on before we get there. Whether you want to share your expertise through a training course, apply for funding, volunteer at the meeting or present your research, there are already several ways to get involved.

As the meeting is a little earlier than usual, some important deadlines are coming up sooner. Here are the dates to have on your radar:

• Propose a course: Do you have expertise to share and a passion for education in the field? Become a training course instructor and bring your knowledge to the meeting program. Submit your course proposal by 14 October 2026.
• Volunteer onsite: Want to be part of the action behind the scenes? Join our onsite volunteer team and help with a range of activities throughout the meeting. Volunteer applications are open until 5 November 2026.
• Apply for a grant: Grant applications are now open for students, recent graduates and senior active members. If you need financial support to attend the meeting, explore the available opportunities and check the eligibility criteria. The deadline for a complementary student grant is 17 November 2026, while applications for reduced registration for recent graduates and senior active members remain open until 13 January 2027.

And there’s more to come. The call for abstracts will open at the end of September, giving you the opportunity to present your research and contribute to the scientific program. The abstract submission deadline is 10 November 2026.
