Registration for the SETAC World Congress Is Now Open
Registration is now open for the SETAC 9th World Congress, which will take place from 29 September–3 October in Johannesburg, South Africa. Participants are encouraged to register by 14 August to take advantage of the discounted early bird rates.
The World Congress will feature a robust scientific program with daily plenary presentations, platform and poster sessions, parallel events and a wide range of networking opportunities. Among the highlights are the SETAC Africa Women’s Event (SAFWE), which has been held at every SETAC Africa meeting since 2017, and a special conference dinner at Eclipse Restaurant – an opportunity to relax, connect and enjoy great food with great people in a vibrant setting.
Information about visas and travel to South Africa is available on the conference website. SETAC has also negotiated discounted rates at several hotels near the Sandton Convention Centre, and participants are encouraged to book early as space is limited.
For those interested in exploring Johannesburg and the surrounding region before or after the meeting, SETAC worked with Joburg Tourism, the city’s official convention and visitors bureau, to compile a list of tour operators offering excursions. Please note that SETAC is not organizing these tours, and participants are responsible for booking directly with the provider of their choice.
In addition to attending, there are still opportunities available for organizations to get involved. Exhibiting and sponsoring at the World Congress offers a unique chance to showcase your work, build connections and align your brand with the environmental researchers and scientists from around the globe.
