Get Ready for SETAC Portland
The SETAC North America 46th Annual Meeting kicks off next week from 16–20 November in Portland, Oregon, and online! Whether you’re joining in person or virtually, here’s what you need to know to make the most of your experience.
Prepare for a Smooth Start to the Meeting
Log into the app or the meeting platform using your booking reference and last name to access schedules, maps, abstracts and session details. Update your profile, bookmark sessions and build your personalized itinerary.
Check-In on Site
The meeting will be held at the Oregon Convention Center. Badge pickup opens at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, 7:30 a.m. on Monday, and 8:00 a.m. from Tuesday–Thursday in Pre-Function A on Level 1. Bring your photo ID and the QR code you received in your welcome email on 11 November to print your badge. Badges are required for access to all sessions and events.
Upload Your Presentation
All presenters received an email on 28 October with a unique link to upload their presentations to the virtual platform and link to the presenter guidelines. In-person poster presenters should hang their posters by 8:30 a.m. from Monday–Wednesday or by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday in Exhibit Hall A–B. Platform presenters can upload slides online via the upload link they received or in the Speaker Ready Room (C125–126) no later than the day before their session. For questions or if you didn't receive your upload link, please contact [email protected].
Stay Connected Online
All participants, both in persona and virtual, have access to the full program on the online meeting platform, including virtual-only sessions and posters. Plenaries and select presentations will be recorded on site and available for viewing within 24 hours. The online platform also allows participants to engage asynchronously with session chairs, presenters, exhibitors and fellow attendees. This is a great way to connect with colleagues who are joining virtually, including participants from government agencies who may not be able to travel this year. All meeting content will remain available on demand for three months after the event.
Enjoy Extra Perks in Portland
Participants can also enjoy exclusive perks at the meeting, including a complimentary TriMet MAX Light Rail pass (available at registration, valid through 21 November), free entry to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) event at 7:00 p.m. on 18 November, and local discounts through Travel Portland.
Creating a Welcoming Environment
SETAC is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. Please review the Inclusion Strategy and Creating Intentional Inclusive Spaces information to help us ensure an atmosphere conducive to scientific discourse.
For updates, visit the meeting platform or check the meeting app. We look forward to seeing you, whether in Portland or online!
