What Are Member Types?

Each member type corresponds to a group of countries within a SETAC Geographic Unit that share the same administrative process.

In Step 1 during your membership registration, when you select your country, a new line of red type will appear, telling you to Please select membership Type XX below. Then, in Step 2, you'll see a list of member types from which to select. For example, if Step 1 told you to select Type 7, in Step 2 you should click the button next to either Type 07 - Member or Type 07 - Student, depending on your status.

Here is a general breakdown of member types:

Africa

Type 10: Africa low-income countries
Type 11: Africa lower/upper-middle-income countries

Asia/Pacific

Type 07: Asia/Pacific
Type 08: Asia/Pacific low-income countries
Type 09: Asia/Pacific lower/upper-middle-income countries

Europe, Russia and Middle East

Type 02: Europe, Russia and Middle East
Type 05: Europe, Russia and Middle East low-income countries
Type 09: Europe, Russia and Middle East lower/upper-middle-income countries

Latin America

Type 03: Latin America

North America and Mexico

Type 01: North America
Type 04: Mexico
