Submit an Abstract for the SETAC 14th Young Environmental Scientists Meeting

Are you a student or early-career researcher? If so, consider submitting an abstract for the upcoming SETAC 14th Young Environmental Scientists Meeting. Organized by the North America Student Advisory Council (NASAC), the meeting will take place from 4–7 August at the University of South Carolina (USC) in Columbia.

This free event is organized by students for students and recent graduates and provides a welcoming atmosphere for early-career researchers to network, present their research and expand their knowledge through short courses tailored to their experience level. The meeting theme, “Uniting Students Through Connections,” captures the goal of connecting students and recent graduates to encourage and support one another, particularly as young environmental scientists navigate current challenges.

Participants will be able to explore the vibrant USC campus and beautiful downtown Columbia area during their visit. In addition to the scientific program, the conference will include a welcome dinner to kick off the meeting, lab tours and a litter cleanup of the local river. Other events to look forward to include multiple keynote presentations and a career panel with representatives from academia, business and government.

Abstract submission is now open! Read the session descriptions and submit your abstract by 8 April. Please note, you must be the presenting author of an accepted presentation and a current full member of SETAC to attend the meeting.

A limited number of travel grants are also available. To apply, simply fill out the appropriate fields in the abstract submission form.

Join us to build connections, present your research and invest in your professional development! If you have any questions, please reach out to the organizing committee at [email protected].
