SETAC and the Nontarget Analysis for Environmental Assessment (NonTarget 2022) organizing committee is excited to have the COVID-delayed Focused Topic Meeting (FTM) back on track. NonTarget 2022 will be held from 22–26 May 2022 in Durham, NC, and virtually. We are optimistic that conditions will allow us to gather in person to share some exciting science, though a robust virtual program will also be offered.
Because nontarget analysis (NTA) is a rapidly evolving technique, frequent communication among practitioners is essential to keep abreast of the advances in the field. The majority of the meeting will feature keynote lectures and presentations in a single track, allowing attendees to hear and see all presentations. Additionally, portions of each day will be devoted to multiple interactive sessions that will focus more deeply on specific topics in breakout discussions and demonstration groups. The abstract submission deadline for both traditional and interactive sessions, in-person and virtual presentations is Wednesday, 26 January. Traditional oral and poster session themes include:
- Advances in Instrumentation and Approaches
- Applications to Ecological Exposure and Effects Assessment
- Applications to Human Exposure and Effects Assessment
- Applications to Regulatory Frameworks and Monitoring Programs
- Method and Performance Evaluation
- Process-oriented Studies in Natural and Engineered Systems
- Workflow and Software Advances
- Other Topics in Nontarget Analysis
Submit an Abstract
The meeting will highlight interactive platform sessions, which will allow for a small group of participants to take a deep dive into one of the following topics:
- Characterization of PFAS Precursors
- Cheminformatics and Meta-data for Nontarget Analysis (demos)
- Computational Mass Spectrometry (demos)
- Experimental Approaches for Maximizing Chemical Space Coverage
- Harmonization and Assessment of Approaches
- Linking Nontarget Analysis to Biological Effects
- New Developments in Instrumentation
- Quantification Approaches in Nontarget Analysis
- Statistical Treatment and Prioritization of Data
- Wastewater Epidemiology
- Late Breaking: Propose a Topic
We look forward to your scientific contributions and seeing you in person next May!
