William A. Stubblefield

The primary purpose of SETAC Interest Groups (IGs) is to provide a venue for scientists with an interest in a particular scientific topic to share knowledge and expertise and advance the topic. Participation in all IGs is open to all interested parties. If you are not already a member of this IG and would like to be, make sure you are signed in to your SETAC account then click "Join Group” near the top of this page.

The mission of the Metals Interest Group is to advance the science and understanding of the fate and effects of metals in the environment, to promote the use of the best available science in evaluating potential environmental consequences of metals in the environment; and to encourage the incorporation of the best available science and organization of approaches for evaluating the effects of metals in the environment, worldwide.

  • Serve as a scientific forum for all stakeholders interested in the mission of the IG.
  • Sponsor events (e.g., meetings, sessions, webinars) and publications within SETAC that advance the mission of the IG.

  • The IG Steering Committee holds periodic conference calls.
  • The IG typically holds one or two formal meeting per year at the SETAC major geographic unit annual meetings.
  • Please contact the chair for further information.
