This Biodiversity Assessment and Conservation Interest Group enables a global platform for sharing science, experience and good practices that fosters biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. Members discuss and jointly develop science-based approaches to design biodiversity assessments and how they connect to regulatory risk assessments. The group also investigates risk management options that foster biodiversity protection and conservation as well as regulating ecosystem services in productive agricultural landscapes, including how to assess and mitigate indirect effects of land use, chemical use and other farmer’s interventions and on the food chain.
