Mission

The mission of the Metals Interest Group is to advance the science and understanding of the fate and effects of metals in the environment, to promote the use of the best available science in evaluating potential environmental consequences of metals in the environment; and to encourage the incorporation of the best available science and organization of approaches for evaluating the effects of metals in the environment, worldwide.

Structure

This interest has one sub-group - SETAC Global Mercury Working Group.

Industry: Ilse Schoeters, Bill Adams, Eric Van Genderen

Goals

Sponsor sessions at the SETAC major geographic unit annual meetings.

Operations

  • The IG Steering Committee holds periodic conference calls.
  • The IG typically holds one or two formal meeting per year at the SETAC major geographic unit annual meetings.
