SETAC Global Science Committee Looking for New Members
Thursday, April 16, 2015
The SETAC Global Science Committee (GSC) is calling on all SETAC members around the globe! Are you thinking about how you can get more involved in SETAC? Are you looking for more interaction with your SETAC colleagues around the globe? SETAC wants to get you involved!
We are looking for interested members to join the GSC. The time commitment is small (one hour quarterly calls), but the benefit is huge! Working with SETAC colleagues all around the world, helping to plan important scientific meetings and supporting the continued scientific excellence that is SETAC. As with all committees within SETAC, we are driven by the energy and participation of our member volunteers.
The GSC provides guidance, direction and assistance to the SETAC World Council in addressing and identifying technical issues that are globally relevant, with an overall objective of ensuring scientific and technical excellence of SETAC, its activities and its members. If you are a SETAC member and have been “thinking” about how you could contribute, why not take this opportunity and get involved now? We are seeking SETAC members to join the GSC from the following SETAC geographic units:
- SETAC Africa
- SETAC Asia/Pacific
- SETAC Europe
- SETAC Latin America
- SETAC North America
The SETAC Global Science Committee is charged with identifying emerging scientific issues relevant to SETAC, facilitating communication among advisory groups and the general membership, and ensuring technical excellence within SETAC.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Alan Samel.
