Planned Activities

The SETAC Global Interest Group (IG) on Endocrine Disrupter Testing and Risk Assessment (EDTRA) aims at constituting a neutral platform and a focal point within SETAC for collaborative research and discussion on the topic of endocrine disrupter testing and risk assessment. In this context, the EDTRA IG plans to:

  • Prepare technical papers (general information, issue specific)
  • Develop a discussion forum on the SETAC web site
  • Sponsor general endocrine disrupter testing and risk assessment technical sessions at meetings
  • Hold targeted (subject-specific) discussion groups at meetings
  • Implement short courses, for example in advance of either SETAC or other conferences
  • Prepare presentations to government agencies
  • Communicate updates to the SETAC Globe
  • Provide input to national and international test guideline development initiative
  • Provide educational materials for the public and school systems
