March 17 deadline for abstract submission 0 S. Cohen Hi, all: Frank Gobas and I are chairing a symposium, "Bioaccumulation Risk Assessment: Problems and Possibilities", with a focus on pesticides, as a part of an international mtg in San Francisco, Aug. 10-14. (Our symposium is scheduled for Aug. 11). This is part of the quadrennial IUPAC International Congress of Pesticide Chemistry, in conjunction with the American Chemical Soc. nat'l mtg.   Information can be found at http://www.iupac2014.org/ . Download the program, and go to page 46 under the main topic, "Environmental Fate and Metabolism". It is truly a global conference, and it presents a unique opportunity to meet pesticide scientists from throughout the world. (One year, 1990 in Hamburg, I counted scientists from 54 countries.) We invite abstract submissions (abstracts.acs.org) of 150-250 words. This is not your typical conference. We will only select a relatively small number  of platform presentations, and several hours will be allocated to viewing posters. Then, we will ask 3-5 poster presenters to spark a provocative free-for-all 1 hour discussion. Time is short (March 17), but abstracts are easy. stuart cohen
