The Chesapeake and Potomac Regional Chapter (CPRC) of the Society for
Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is a regional chapter of SETAC-North America (NA).
SETAC-CPRC started in the year 1983. Like the national organization,
SETAC-CPRC is comprised of a mixture of members working in
government, industry, private sector (e.g., consulting) and academic
jobs. SETAC-CPRC currently has over 100 members.
mission is to promote the exchange of information among environmental
scientists in the mid-Atlantic states. In particular, the organization
facilitates and supports graduate student research and presentations at
the SETAC-NA meetings.
student activities and will continue to serve student members by
providing opportunities to find jobs, graduate schools, internships, and
volunteer opportunities. SETAC-CPRC provides students a forum to
present research papers and posters. Successful students receive
research awards and support for travel to national meetings.
