In collaboration with Wiley-Blackwell, SETAC publishes two respected scientific journals, covering the gamut of environmental science from academic research to applied decision-making. Both journals are available online:

  • SETAC Members: Get full online access to SETAC Journals
  • Not a SETAC member? Learn more about SETAC Journals and access brief abstracts of articles

The SETAC journals are online only. Print on demand options are available: ET&C is at $180/year and IEAM is at $64/year. Please contact Laura Swanson for purchase and payment questions.

How to Receive Table of Contents Email Alerts

  • Go to http://setac.onlinelibrary.wiley.com
  • Click on the cover of the journal for which you want to receive an e-alert.
  • In the lefthand column, under JOURNAL TOOLS, click on "Get New Content Alerts."
  • If you already have a log-in for Wiley Online Library, then sign in at the LOGIN box directly to the right of the Wiley Online Library title (this is not your SETAC log-in). If you don't yet have a log-in for Wiley Online Library, create one and sign in. The content alert will be added to your Profile, and "Get New Content Alerts" will change to "Alert Added to My Profile."
  • The Wiley Online Library LOGIN box should now read "LOGGED IN." Click on My Profile in the top right corner, then on Alert Manager. From here, you can choose the alert format and frequency for Early View and Accepted Article alerts. And you can sign up for content alerts for additional journals.

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (ETC)

ETC Cover

ET&C’s statement of Aims and Scopes now explicitly recognizes that assessing (and managing) environmental quality requires understanding the actual or potential impacts of not only chemical but also physical and biological stressors. Chemical stressors alone rarely impact ecosystems; rather, they also respond to physical and biological stressors. ET&C is publishing science that furthers our understanding of cumulative stressor interactions and their ecological significance. As such, the journal has added a fourth category of papers—Nonchemical Ecological Stressors—to the three existing areas (Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Toxicology and Hazard/Risk Assessment).

In 2012 the journal continued to see an influx of high-quality submissions and has sought to improve the efficiency of the publication process. A number of changes behind the scenes have improved the time to publication dramatically, and the immediate accessibility to the research upon acceptance continues to be a priority.

Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management (IEAM)

IEAM cover

Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management (IEAM) is published 6x/year by the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). The journal is devoted to bridging the gap between scientific research and the application of science in decision making, policy and regulation, and environmental management. IEAM aims to be the premier scientific journal for presenting new information, promoting dialogue, and fostering new methods for the analysis of ecological, chemical, engineering, physical, and social science research applied to the advancement of environmental management strategies, policy and regulation, and problem solving.

IEAM’s popular podcast features an interview with the authors of a selected paper in each issue.
