Chesapeake-Potomac Regional Chapter, Science Traveler
SETAC regional chapters are a valuable way to network regionally while keeping on top of local issues and opportunities. Tremendously talented student presentations and posters submitted to the North America annual meeting have come from regional chapter meetings. The Chesapeake-Potomac Regional Chapter (CPRC) facilitates formal and informal mentoring, educational and outreach programs at for the region that includes Maryland, DC, Virginia, and West Virginia. David Kent has been an influential part of the CPRC for 22 years. Between his time consulting on chemical control and writing award winning science books (Tesla: The Wizard of Electricity), David has found time to serve as president and past president twice, vice president, secretary, treasurer, newsletter editor and contributor. Additionally, he has served on the CPRC Board of Directors and acted liaison to SETAC North America by co-chairing the Regional Chapter committee. It is the dedication of member volunteers such as David that maintains the chapter’s long-standing success.
