Student Corner

Hello OVC students! First, let me introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Wiebusch and I have been your student representative since January of this year.

We have been hard at work getting ready for the 28th annual meeting coming up this September 15th and 16th 2011 at Cleveland State University. This year we will be discussing "Urban Restoration, Remediation, and Risks" (and other topics relevant to environmental science). There will be an Urban Ecology Workshop presented by CSU's own Dr. Michael Walton. Other topics will include: " Urban Ecology and Streams " Urban Development and Environmental Impacts " Regulatory Standards and their Developments " Risk Assessment/Human Health and Ecological Risk - weighing the costs to protect the urban environment " Restoration Sites, Post Remediation " Urban Risk Reduction and Health Issues " Assessing Interactions between the Neighborhood and Ecosystem " Sustainability Goals: Societal, Socioeconomic, Human Patterns and Preferences Compared to Ecological Changes and Processes If you would like more information or would like to present a poster or platform presentation, please email me.
