Welcome to the newly established Advisory Group on Endocrine Disrupter Testing and Risk Assessment! The idea for this AG arose in 2011 between SETAC members from Europe, North America and South East Asia, reflecting that SETAC members are uniquely placed to progress the science in this growing aspect of decision making. The AG had it’s first meeting at the 6th SETAC World Congress, Berlin and we were very pleased with people’s enthusiasm & ideas. We now plan a follow up meeting on November 12 at the SETAC North America meeting in Long Beach so all your ideas for discussion items are welcome. We also aim to have a special session at the 23rd SETAC Europe Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK (May 2013) on the theme of “Environmental endocrine disrupter testing and risk assessment: What are the key science needs to support regulatory decision making?” Again, we look forward to hearing from you & sharing ideas!
Best regards, Tom Hutchinson (EDTRA AG Chair) & Gary Ankley (EDTRA AG Co-Chair)
