SETAC Committees

The affairs of SETAC are managed through Standing Committees, Advisory Groups, Liaisons, Coordinators, and ad hoc Committees. The list below shows the current Committees and Chairs. Membership in Committees is limited to members. Contact the Chairperson, via the geographic unit you are affiliated with, if you are interested in helping in any of the activities. Volunteers are welcome; our society is very open and democratic.

Development Committee
The purpose of the Development Committee is to consolidate the Foundation and Society fund-raising activities; step up and enhance efforts to obtain general funding and endowment moneys; and to ensure an adequate funding level to insure continued Society operation without impediment.

Education Committee
Plans and co-ordinates activities of SETAC as related to continuing education of the members and development of educational information for the general public.

Elections/Nominations Committee

Assists the Society in providing information and support to scientists outside of North America and Europe who are interested in SETAC.

Meetings Committee \ Science Committee
For Europe - Science Committee - Plans and co-ordinates all meetings, including the Annual Meeting, workshops, symposia, seminars and training sessions.
For North America - Meetings Committee - Provide policy guidance to the Board related to meetings that they Society may sponsor. Solicits, receives, and evaluates proposals for Annual Meetings.
