SETAC Application For a Library
Subsciption Grant
The Society of Environmental Toxicology
and Chemistry (SETAC) offers three-year grants of journal
subscriptions to libraries in developing countries as
a means to encourage the worldwide growth of environmental
studies; foster the spread of information about recent
research in environmental contaminant transport, fate,
and effects; encourage collaborations among environmental
scientists in different parts of the world; and enhance
the opportunity for colleagues in countries with limited
financial resources to further their educations. These
grants are for periods of three years, at the end of
which libraries may re-apply, but are encouraged to
seek alternative funds to support their subscriptions.
Evidence of commitment by cost-sharing the subscription
will be considered as an advantage by the evaluating
board, but will not be the primary selection criterion.
