Unique Nashville Session Provides Learning and Insights on Sustainability Science and Ethics‏

Posted By Valentina Prado, Tuesday, November 5, 2013
Fellow SETACer's,

You are invited to personally experience the dilemmas inherent when decisions must be made about the depletion or preservation of resources held in the public commons. On Monday, November 18th join me, my colleague Dr. Susan Spierre Clark, and fellow participants in an immersive game playing session beginning at 1:55pm (CST) in Presidential Board Room A. If you can't make it to Nashville you can still participate! We will be streaming the Workshop live online and game-play will occur digitally.

Before the session, visit our Sustainability Games webpage and join the group, you must be logged in to the SEATC site to join.  There you will find additional information on the game context and resources to support playing the game and getting the most from your participation (i.e Twitter). This is also where you will be able to access the link to join the Workshop remotely.

We plan to continue the game with online activity after the Monday session until we reconvene on Thursday morning to reflect on what occurred during the week. As far as I am aware, this is a first at SETAC for this kind of session format, and it should be a lot of fun as well as informative and insightful.

Hope to see you in Nashville,

Dr. Thomas P. Seager,

Gamemaster of the Sustainability Games
